Government Schemes: The government runs many schemes for women, under which financial assistance is provided to women. Similarly, today we are going to tell about such a scheme, under which pregnant women are given help of Rs.6,000. This amount is given to women only by the central government. No other member of the family can take advantage of it.

To prevent the birth of malnourished children across the country, the government has started the Matritva Vandana Yojana. Under this, financial assistance is provided to pregnant women by the government. The government gives Rs 6000 for child care and prevention of diseases. For this scheme, the age of the pregnant woman should not be less than 19 years.

The amount is given in three installments

Matritva Vandana Yojana was launched on 1 January 2017. To avail the benefits under this scheme one has to apply offline. After applying, this amount is given to pregnant women in three installments. At the same time, the government gives the last installment of Rs 1000 in the hospital at the time of the birth of the child. In the first phase of this scheme, pregnant women are given Rs 1000, in the second phase Rs 2000 and in the third phase Rs 2000.

Money is transferred directly to the account
