Four people, including an Indian couple visiting Canada and their three-month-old grandson, were killed when their Ontario police car took a wrong turn to catch a thief who was stealing from a liquor store in Canada.

In Whitby, 50 km east of Toronto, on Highway No. The crash on the 401 left multiple vehicles damaged and four people dead at the scene, police said in a statement.

Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said those killed in the crash included a 60-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman who had come from India. However, the names of the deceased have not been released.

The SIU said that the couple’s three-month-old grandson also died in the accident. Highway no. remained closed for hours after the accident. 401 was closed.

The agency said that the car of the child’s 33-year-old father and 27-year-old mother was also hit in the accident and they have been admitted to the hospital in an injured condition. According to SIU, the mother’s condition is critical.

According to media reports, the thief who stole from the liquor shop has also died in this accident. At least six vehicles collided with each other in this accident.
