Under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Coaching Himanshu Shukla, SPG squad comprising of Commerce Department and Railway Protection Force was formed for checking against illegal vending, chain pulling, ticketless travel, irregular travel, unbooked luggage, disabled coaches, ladies coaches, RMS and smoking. PRO said that in the operation that lasted till late on Sunday, the SPG squad operated trains 12311 Howrah-Kalka Netaji Superfast Express, 15483 Alipurduar-Sikkim Mahananda Express, 12488 Anand Vihar Terminal-Jogb. Seemanchal Superfast Express, 18101 Tata Express between Prayagraj-Fatehpur-Kanpur. -Jammu Taavi Express, 12312 Kalka-Howrah Netaji Superfast Express and 12506 Anand Vihar Terminal-Kamakhya North East Superfast Express were checked. In which a total of 129 passengers were caught and Rs 67,873 was recovered. Of these, Rs 16,915 were recovered from 27 passengers without tickets, Rs 40,570 from 92 passengers for irregular travel, Rs 1700 from 6 passengers for littering and Rs 8688 were recovered from 4 passengers with unbooked luggage.
