Prayagraj, 27 April (HS). The final football match was played between North Central Railway Headquarters and Prayagraj Division at DSA Ground, Prayagraj. In the inter-divisional football competition of North Central Railway, Prayagraj Division won the competition by defeating NCR Headquarters 6-1.
This information was given by Public Relations Officer Amit Kumar Singh on Saturday. He told that this match was played in the soft light of flood lights. DSA Ground is the first ground in Prayagraj with the facility of day night match and the first day night football match was played between North Central Railway Headquarters and Prayagraj Division.
The match was started by Principal Chief Electrical Engineer and President of North Central Railway Sports Association, Anup Aggarwal by kicking the football. In the title match, M.sh and Sheran Ayubi of the winning team of Prayagraj division scored two goals each and JP Yadav and Shah Alam scored one goal each. Pushkar Verma scored the only goal for the runner-up team HQ.
After the game, the chief guest, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer and President of North Central Railway Sports Association distributed the prizes. M.sh was adjudged man of the match, Sheran Ayubi was adjudged best scorer and Rakesh Verma was adjudged best player.
Divisional Railway Manager Himanshu Badoni congratulated the winning team and asked all the players to perform better in the coming times. Divisional Sports Secretary Dharmendra Nishad, Co-Secretary Rakesh Mishra welcomed the guests and Javed Ahmed conducted the program.
In this match, Ataullah Khan acted as referee, Kabir Khan and Jitendra acted as linesmen and Sanjeev Singh acted as table referee. Senior Divisional Finance Manager Ashutosh Sharma and Senior Public Relations Officer Amit Malviya and other senior officers and employees were present in this match.
