Jaipur, 23 January (HS). After the resignation of State Advocate General MS Singhvi after the change of government recently, the Law Department handed over the charge of AG’s office to Additional Advocate General Rajesh Maharshi on Tuesday. However, a few hours after issuing this order, the department withdrew it and issued a revised order. In the amended order, it was said that the Advocate General and Additional Advocate General are not appearing in the courts to represent the state government in various cases.
Apart from this, all the Additional Advocates General have already resigned from their posts, which is under consideration. In such a situation, the order issued on Tuesday in relation to Rajesh Maharshi is withdrawn and Shitanshu Sharma, junior advocate of the previously appointed Advocate General, has been asked to continue appearing on behalf of the state government in the cases of the Advocate General.
