Due to rising onion prices in the country, the government is also changing. Such incidents have also happened in history. In such a situation, amidst the elections, the government has taken a big decision regarding the export of onion. Onion export has now become costlier by 40 percent. Whereas, except in a few cases, there is already a ban on export of onion in the country.

The government has made onion available in sufficient quantity in the country. In view of the increasing demand in summer, there should be no shortage in supply and prices should also remain under control. For this, export of onion from the country has been banned. Only some friendly countries like United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are allowed to export onion in certain quantities.

The new order will come into effect from May 4.
