Bhopal, 6 May (HS). On the orders of the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court, the survey of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) department in the historical Bhojshala of Dhar continued for the 46th day on Monday. A team of 20 ASI officers along with 42 workers reached the Bhojshala premises at 8 in the morning and came out at 5 in the evening. Here the team worked for about nine hours using modern equipment using scientific methods. Gopal Sharma, Ashish Goyal from the Hindu side and Abdul Samad Khan from the Muslim side were also present with the survey team.

During the survey on the 46th day, the ASI team did extensive excavation work between the sanctum sanctorum and the Yagya Kund in Bhojshala. Excavation work has been completed in most of the six blocks near Yagya Kund. It was from here that ancient coins and a fragmented statue were found. At the same time, on Monday, excavation was started at two new places in the northern region also. Two more points were marked here, work on this has started on a large scale.

Hindu party Ashish Goyal, who was present with the survey team, said that today everything from digging to other works was done very fast in Bhojshala. Especially the work of removing soil from here was given priority. However, it is taking a lot of time to remove the soil. At the same time, work has been done on a large scale in the area behind the banquet hall. Besides, the focus has also been on the south direction. Along with videography and photography, other work has also been done.

Due to lack of proper drainage during the rainy season, a situation of water logging occurs in the Bhojshala. The water was filled up to the knees. The Public Works Unit of ASI has seen the arrangements regarding this on Monday. Also instructions were given that arrangements for pipes etc. should be made for drainage of water. It is expected that the drainage system will be completed by laying pipes etc. before the coming rainy season.
