New Delhi: Due to torrential rains, there has been flood in many states. At such a time, many vehicles have been washed away and many houses have been damaged in the flood caused by cloudburst in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, lightning killed two people in Rajasthan, while the Yamuna and Hindon rivers were in spate, inundating many areas of Delhi-NCR again. Meanwhile, rains have brought relief to farmers in Karnataka amid fears of drought.

Several vehicles were submerged and several houses and bridges were damaged in a cloudburst in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara. Apart from this, standing crops in the fields have also been damaged due to floods. A bridge in Shimriyal village was swept away by the flood. It is also raining heavily in Akhnoor of Jammu and Kashmir. Hundreds of people are stranded here at this time. The rescue team has so far taken 105 people to a safe place. The torrential rains in Akhnoor caused a flash flood in the Chenab river, inundating hundreds of acres of land.

On the other hand, farmer Radhashyam and shepherd Prakash Gurjar died in two separate incidents of lightning in Rajasthan. Apart from this, 35 goats died in another incident of lightning.

Meanwhile, torrential rains continued in the Himalayan region. Eleven passengers of a Punjab State Transport bus are still missing in Himachal. On July 10, the bus got stuck in the Beas river in Manali. These tourists from Uttar Pradesh had left Chandigarh on July 9, but the bus broke down in the Beas river and the tourists were missing.

On the other hand, the Yamuna river has once again flooded in Delhi. Many areas of Delhi-NCR have been inundated due to floods in Hindon river along with Yamuna. 50 people were evacuated to a safer place after the Hindon river flooded in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

While it is raining all over the country, there is a possibility of drought situation in Karnataka. But now farmers have heaved a sigh of relief due to rains in many areas of Karnataka.

Heavy rains lashed many areas of Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Chikmagalur, Udupi and Kodagu districts.

Due to lack of sufficient rains in the last two months, there was a possibility of a drought-like situation here.
