Pakistan cricket team: Pakistan team for ICC T20 World Cup 2024 has not been announced yet. Pakistan has announced a 17-man squad for the tour of Ireland and England and 15 of them will be finalized for the ICC T20 World Cup. Mohammad Aamir and Imad Wasim have returned to the Pakistan T20 team. Both of them did not have any special friendship with Captain Babar Azam till recently. Both of them had said goodbye to international cricket but some time before the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, both of them withdrew their decision to retire from international cricket and returned to the Pakistan team. A video of Pakistan’s practice session has surfaced, in which it is seen that there is some rift between captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Aamir.
It is difficult to confirm whether this video is true or false because it is being shared through different social media handles. In this video, Captain Babar and Imad are seen arguing on something. Some time ago, Imad Wasim had said in an interview that he has no problem with Babar Azam.
Imad Wasim said in an interview that ‘I have no problem with Babar Azam, he is the captain of the team and we all are supporting him. It is possible that Babar Azam has been made captain again because he will bring the World Cup trophy for us. The ICC World Cup 2023 was played in India where the Pakistan cricket team could not reach the semi-finals. After this, when the Pakistan team returned home, Babar Azam resigned from the captaincy of all three formats. Shan Masood was made the new Test captain of Pakistan while Shaheen Afridi was made the new T20 captain. Once again the captaincy of limited overs format has been handed over to Babar Azam.
