Kullu: Natural calamity continues in Kullu district. There are reports of cloudburst in one area after another. Now at around 3 o’clock in the night, a cloud has burst in the Kota Nala in Kais village of Kullu.

The cloudburst caused flash floods and washed away houses and shops living near the nullah. The Bolero Camper vehicle number HP 34A 9595 parked on the roadside ran over four sleeping people, resulting in the death of one person. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Badal Sharma s/o Ganesh Sharma, resident of Chancery Post Office Badal Tehsil and District Kullu.

Both the injured were sent to the hospital

The other two persons are 53-year-old Khem Chand s/o Nanak Chand Village Badogi Post Office Nioli Tehsil and District Kullu and 38-year-old Suresh Sharma S/o Les Ram Village Chansari Post Office Bari Padhar Tehsil and District Kullu. , were injured. Both the injured have been sent to Regional Hospital Kullu for treatment, where both are undergoing treatment. The driver of the vehicle, Kapil s/o Kamlesh Sharma, 31, of Village Chansari Post Office, Bari Padhar Tehsil and District Kullu, did not suffer any injury.

Six vehicles and three two-wheelers were washed away

There are reports of six vehicles and three two-wheelers being washed away due to the flood in the drain, which have been damaged. On the other hand, Kullu Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg said that there was a report of cloudburst near Kas area at around 3 am last night. One person has died due to landslide while two people have been injured.

The highway was again blocked near Bashing. NHAI has been asked to open the blocked road. SDM Kullu Vikas Shukla has been sent to the spot. Correct information will be given after assessing the damage after some time. He assured all possible help to the families of the victims.
