Jaipur, 06 May (HS). The state government is determined to ensure safe transportation system in the state. On Monday, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, through the VC, held a meeting with the District Collector and key officials and gave instructions to effectively monitor the traffic system and make a special plan in this regard so that road accidents can be controlled.

Regarding traffic system and road safety, the Chief Secretary held a meeting and said that the state government is serious and sensitive towards traffic safety. Instructions were given to work with full awareness and accountability for road safety.

The Chief Secretary also gave instructions to work by planning regarding accident prone areas. By regularly conducting road safety campaigns and road safety weeks, the general public will be made aware of traffic rules.

Pant said that in case of death or complete permanent disability due to road accidents, the state government is providing financial support to the family under ‘Chief Minister Ayushman Accident Insurance Scheme’. Under this, an assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh is provided in case of death or permanent total loss of one member of the insured family and Rs 10 lakh in case of death of more than one member.
