State President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahendra Bhatri expressed satisfaction over the preparations for Chardham Yatra and expressed hope of a big leap in the economy of the state. Reiterating the government’s commitment to a successful and safe yatra, it has urged the opposition to cooperate constructively instead of doing politics.
BJP President Mahendra Bhatt said in a statement that the record number of pilgrims registering for the yatra is a good sign. We have the experience of last year’s successful journey under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami. Keeping this in view, the government is fully aware of the convenience and safety of the pilgrims and is making elaborate arrangements. The government and administration are fully committed to ensure that the passengers do not face any problem regarding all the needs like roads, accommodation, water, health, communication etc.
In this sequence, for the convenience of common devotees, the government’s request to VIP pilgrims not to come within 15 days of the beginning of the yatra is a welcome step. Also, the decision to start off-line registration and shower flowers on opening of doors by helicopter shows the seriousness and sensitivity of the state government.
He said that since this Yatra is a read for the economy of the people of Devbhoomi and in such a situation, when the record of 56 lakh pilgrims of last year is likely to be broken in the initial months itself, it is natural for a smile to appear on everyone’s faces. This journey will prove to take the businesses related to tourism sector to new heights. It will also open new employment opportunities on a large scale through various mediums.
