Hooghly, 08 May (HS). State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed a huge public meeting in Arambag on Wednesday. But the sitting MP from Arambagh was not seen on the stage.
According to special sources, Aparupa Poddar was not invited to go on stage. After this incident, Aparupa Poddar expressed her displeasure and vented out her anger on the leaders of her own party. Answering media questions, Aparupa Poddar said that Kalyan Banerjee did not allow her to go on stage.
Actually, Kalyan Banerjee is anti-Dalit and anti-minority. I am still an MP, two-term parliamentarian. It has become clear from the statement of Aparupa Poddar that no matter how much Trinamool Congress leaders talk about unity in Hooghly district. But all is not well for Trinamool Congress here.
