Central Employee DA Hike 2023: Central employees and pensioners can get 2 big gifts soon. It is reported that according to the AICPI index released by Batak, the Modi government at the Center can increase the dearness allowance and dearness relief of the employees and pensioners by up to 4 percent before the upcoming elections. If this happens, then the dearness allowance of the employees will increase from 42 to 46 percent. Due to this, an increase of up to Rs 2000 will be seen in the salary. This will benefit 1 crore employee-pensioners.

June figures to be released on July 31, 4% hike in DA fixed

Actually, the dearness allowance of central employees is increased twice a year by the central government, this increase depends on the data of AICPI index released by the labor department. So far, the figures till May 2023 have been released, in which the rate of dearness allowance has reached 45.57 points. Now only the June figures are yet to come, which will be released on July 31, which will make it clear how much the dearness allowance of employees and pensioners will increase from July. It is expected that there will be a 4 percent increase in DA in July, after which the DA of the employees will increase to 46 percent. It is likely to come into effect from 1 July 2023

27000 per annum salary

The new rates will be applicable from July to December 2023. There is a possibility that the central government may announce it anytime between Rakshabandhan to Diwali before the upcoming elections, as well as arrears, although it is not yet officially confirmed that how much DA will increase and when it will be announced. For example, if the basic pay of a government employee is Rs 18000, then he gets a DA of 42% i.e. Rs 7560 and when it is 46%, it will be Rs 8280 per month, according to which the salary will increase by Rs 720 every month.
If someone’s salary is Rs 56900, then he will get the benefit of Rs 2,276 every month and Rs 27,312 annually.

HRA hike possible, DA arrears may also be decided

According to media reports, HRA can also be increased along with dearness allowance. The last time HRA was increased in July 2021 saw a hike of 25%. This time there is a possibility of increase up to 3 percent. It is believed that HRA can be increased by 3% in X class cities and only 2% in Y class cities and 1% in Z class cities. Since the HRA of the government employee is increased on the basis of the city, it has been kept in X, Y and Z category. At present, Z category employees get 9, Y 18 and X 27% HRA on their basic salary. Apart from this, a big decision can also be taken on the outstanding DA arrears and fitment factor. By increasing the fitment factor, the basic salary will be 26000. With this, there will be an increase in salary from 49000 to 96000.
