An MoU was signed with Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited, a Government of Gujarat undertaking, in Gandhinagar in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The film industry has attracted Gujarat after the Cinematic Tourism Policy announced by the state government in 2022 under the direction of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The org.zation of this Filmfare Award-2024 will prove to be another milestone.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that Filmfare Award is one of the most prestigious awards in Indian cinema. Holding such a prestigious award ceremony in the state would attract a large number of celebrities, filmmakers and industry professionals to Gujarat. This influx of visitors will boost tourism, hotel booking and other activities in the state and boost the local economy and generate employment.

At the same time, the Chief Minister said that org.zing the Filmfare Awards would facilitate cultural exchange between the Indian film industry and the local culture of Gujarat. Artists and filmmakers from Gujarat will get an opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with professionals from the Indian film industry and learn about new trends, technology and techniques in filmmaking.

Holding of Filmfare Awards in the state can promote the state as a film destination state. This would give Gujarat significant exposure and publicity as a potential film location.
