Samba 04 May (His). Jammu and Kashmir Police, in its drive against drug peddlers and to curb criminal activities, has arrested two drug smugglers in two separate NDPS cases registered at Police Station Samba and against two other notorious criminals in Jammu and Kashmir. A case has been registered under the Public Safety Act.

Both the arrested smugglers have been identified as Kuljeet Singh son of Amrik Singh resident of Jahangirpuri Delhi and Sagar son of Prem Kumar resident of Amritsar Punjab. During investigation, police teams led by SHO Police Station Samba were successful in uncovering further links in the case and arrested accused Kuljeet Singh and accused Sagar. It may be noted that the case FIR 103/2024 and FIR 115/2024 was already registered at Police Station Samba and as a result two accused including a woman were also arrested in two separate FIRs. Similarly, the district police has also detained two hardened criminals and sent them to jail under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act. These persons have been identified as Radhe Sham alias Shamu son of Som Dutt, resident of Shahzadpur Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba and Shiv Dayal alias Sunny son of Rajinder Kumar resident of Chohala Kothe Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu A/P Teli Basti Bari Brahmin District Samba. Who are involved in many criminal cases.

The detention orders were issued by District Magistrate Samba on the basis of detailed documents prepared by SSP Samba following his repeated involvement in criminal activities. Police teams led by SHO Police Station Ramgarh and SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana successfully executed these warrants resulting in the imprisonment of the accused in District Jail Kathua.
