Zuccaro clinched a resounding victory over Geographique to secure the prestigious A.C. Ardeshir Trophy, the highlight of the fourth day of the Mumbai racing season at the iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse on Sunday.

In line with the predictions made by FPJ, the eight-furlong event saw Mojito dominating the early stages, setting a brisk pace while being closely tailed by Geographique. Zuccaro, in the meantime, maintained a steady position in fourth place within the compact five-horse field.

As the race progressed and the contenders approached the 600-meter marker, Geographique overtook Mojito to claim the lead. However, Zuccaro, displaying an impressive burst of speed, began to make his move from the outside. The thrilling final stretch saw the gelding, trained by the renowned Pesi Shroff, unleash a powerful run to surge ahead of his rivals.

Zuccaro, the youngest contender in the race, demonstrated remarkable maturity and skill as he crossed the finish line to claim his maiden graded race victory. The triumph was made even more memorable by the expert guidance of jockey Vivek G, who showcased exceptional composure and strategy in navigating Zuccaro to glory.

This win marks a significant milestone for Zuccaro and highlights the continued dominance of Pesi Shroff’s stables in the Indian racing circuit..
