While speaking on the matter of comprehension of the ever-evolving world around, Zerodha co-founder and podcaster Nikhil Kamath took to post on X and said, “When you feel like an idiot, vocalize it, don’t have to pretend to be smart :).”

Kamath shared a small clipping of the conversation that he had with AI trailblazer Perplexity AI’s CEO, Aravind Srinivas.
In the conversation Srinivas observed that Software engineering is one of the highest paid professions. Today, it’s pretty obvious that most human software engineers, at least like the median human software engineer, is probably worse than an AI today.
Replying to this anxiety of not knowing, Nikhil Kamath added his bit, and said, “You know Gen Z uses a particular word, they say FOMO all the time. I face that on a daily basis because I keep reading about AI.”
Feeling Smart
Talking about his ‘fancy ideas’ Aravind Srinivas talked about John Shulman, who was one of the OpenAI co-founders. Srinivas said that Shulman noticed his work and he invited Srinivas for an internship.
