RJ Mahvash, rumoured to be dating cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, couldn’t hide her disappointment as Virat Kohli got dismissed for just 1 run in the India vs New Zealand Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai on Sunday (March 9).
Taking to her Instagram story, Mahvash shared a short video where she appeared visibly upset. Adding to the emotional tone, she included broken heart and crying emojis, expressing her dismay over Kohli’s early exit.
Mahvash was earlier spotted with Chahal in the stands at the Dubai International Stadium, after which the duo’s appearance sparked buzz on social media.

Kohli’s dismissal came as a shock to fans, with New Zealand setting a target of 251 runs for India.
The dismissal happened in the 20th over when spin-bowling all-rounder Michael Bracewell bowled his first over. Former Indian captain Virat attempted a flick to the on-side but missed the ball entirely and was trapped LBW. Kohli opted for the DRS, but the review proved futile as the replay showed three reds.
Meanwhile, Chahal was seen enjoying the high-stakes India vs New Zealand final in Dubai alongside Mahvash. Their appearance together at the stadium has sparked curiosity, particularly amid ongoing reports of Chahal’s divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma.
Chahal and Mahvash were spotted in the stands, cheering for Team India, and their photos quickly went viral on social media.
When Mahvash slammed dating rumours with Chahal
After reports of Dhanashree and Chahal’s divorce has surfaced in January 2025, Mahvash was rumoured to be dating the cricketer. It all started after he was spotted with Mahvash at an undisclosed location and their picture went viral within no time.
However, she had slammed the ‘baseless’ reports and urged everyone to let people live in peace. Indirectly, she had also slammed the PR team of Dhanashree for ‘dragging’ her name in the controversy.
“Some articles and speculations have been circulating around the internet. It’s literally funny to see how baseless are these rumours. If you get SEEN with an opposite gender, so you are dating that person? I am sorry what year is this? And how many people are you all dating then?” Mahvash asked.
She added, “I have been patient since 2-3 days now but I won’t let any PR teams drag my name into this to cover up other people’s image. Let people live in peace with their friends and family in tough times.”
