Yug Patil from AIM Sports Foundation emerged as the standout athlete in the boys’ U-12 category bagging three gold in the second edition of the Tracknight Athletics played at University Pavilion ground.

The 60m sprint was a closely contested affair. Yug Patil showcased his explosive start and quick acceleration, dominating the field with a time of 8.465 seconds. He was challenged by Daivik Naidu from DSSA, who finished a fraction of a second behind at 8.620 securing the silver medal. Jason Jimmy of Children’s Academy Group of School (Ashok Nagar) clinched third place with a commendable time of 9.015 seconds. The event highlighted the young athletes’ impressive speed and competitiveness.

Building on his earlier victory, Yug Patil continued his winning streak in the 120m sprint. Demonstrating remarkable speed, he crossed the finish line in 15.862 seconds, well ahead of his competitors. Daivik Naidu once again proved his mettle, finishing second with a time of 16.973 seconds, showing consistency across both sprint events. Aarav Kulkarnii from GAET claimed the bronze with a time of 17.740 seconds.

The 300m run tested the athletes’ endurance and ability to maintain speed over a longer distance. Yug Patil rose to the challenge, completing his hat-trick of victories with a remarkable time of 42.779 seconds, establishing himself as the undisputed sprint king of the day. Yash Palvi, competing independently, delivered a strong performance to secure the silver medal at 47.006 seconds, while Shree Kambli from GAET narrowly missed second place, finishing just milliseconds later at 47.027 seconds.
