News India Live, Digital Desk: YouTube CEO Neil Mohan said at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (Waves) held in Mumbai that YouTube is developing rapidly in India. He informed that about 10 crore (100 million) content videos have been uploaded on Indian Youtube channels in the last one year.
Growing creator economy
Neil Mohan said that there are more than 15,000 creators in India who have crossed the figure of more than 1 million (1 million) subscribers. This figure suggests that the number of digital content creators in India is increasing rapidly.
YouTube gave Rs 21,000 crore to creators
YouTube has paid around Rs 21,000 crore to Indian creators in the last three years. Along with this, the company has announced an additional investment of Rs 850 crore in the next two years. The main objective of this investment is to empower Indian creators and promote their content globally.

Neil Mohan says that this investment will further strengthen India’s content creators and media companies. This investment will also be helpful for creators in opening ways through new career and business opportunities.
