News India Live, Digital Desk: YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested for spying for Pakistan and allegedly having alleged relations with Pakistani intelligence officials (PIOs), is being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB).
He made several trips to Pakistan, including a visit to Pahalgam on 22 May just before the terrorist attack, as well as from China. These trips are in the eyes of investigating agencies. During interrogation of Jyoti, two pages of her diary have appeared, which shows a glimpse of her 10 days of stay in Pakistan. These have been recovered by the Haryana Police.
In the diary without date, he has written that he has returned to his country to India after traveling 10 days from Pakistan. He further said that “During this time I got a lot of love from the people of Pakistan. Our subscribers and friends also came to meet us. The two days we got to visit Lahore were not enough.”
Jyoti described Pakistan as “crazy” and “colorful” and said that his experience in the neighboring country is beyond words.
In one of his entry, he wrote about the request made to Pakistani officials: “Protect the temples there and allow Indians to meet their family members again from whom they separated in 1947.
Jyoti has a channel called ‘Travel with Joe’, which has more than 3.77 lakh subscribers. On 16 May, he was arrested by Haryana Police from his house in Hisar. A case was registered on YouTuber under Section 3 and 5 of the Official Privacy Act, 1923 and Section 152 of the Indian Justice Code.
During the investigation, it was found that Jyoti was in constant contact with Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a Pakistani employee of Pakistan High Commission from November 2023 to March 2025.
YouTuber’s financial transactions and travel records have also come under investigation. Police have said that known sources of his income do not justify his international visits.
