Begusarai, 07 July (Hindustan Times). A youth died in a road accident on the National Highway (NH)-31 forelane on Friday. People angry over the death blocked the NH for more than an hour and stopped the traffic.

The incident took place in front of Lohia Nagar Gumti. The deceased has been identified as Kanhaiya Kumar Paswan, son of Ramchandra Paswan, a resident of Lohia Nagar slum. In relation to the incident, the family members told that on Friday morning, Kanhaiya had left the house saying that he was going to drink tea.

He had just left his house and reached the forelane when a motorcycle hit him and fell. Meanwhile, the truck going towards Khagaria crushed him. Due to which he died on the spot. After the incident, the truck driver fled with the vehicle.

Here, as soon as the incident was reported, the local people stopped the traffic by keeping the dead body on the forelane. After persuading for about an hour, people became calm. From the administrative level, assurance has been given to give proper compensation to the relatives of the deceased. After this, the police has sent the dead body to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
