Ghaziabad: A youth was hit by a speeding bike in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad when he was waiting for a transport. The incident, which took place outside the VVIP mall in the Nandgram area in February this year, was captured on CCTV installed in the area. The footage surfaced on social media on Thursday.
In the video, it could be seen that the youth was standing on the road when the speeding bike rammed into him. He was flung in the air after being hit. The rider was reportedly drunk. Some reports claimed that the youth was waiting for a ride and stepped forward to ask for a lift.

The youth was rushed to a hospital after the incident. According to reports, he sustained injuries in the head. His foot also got fractured in the accident. The viral video has ignited the debate on reckless driving and road safety. In the recent past several incidents of over speeding surfaced.
A similar incident took place in Telangana’s Kamareddy district in which a police constable lost his life after a speeding car heading rammed into him. Meanwhile, another constable had a close shave. At the time of the incident, both constables were on patrol. The incident was captured on CCTV. The deceased was identified as Ravikumar.
