Young Leopard Dies After Being Rescued
Barwani (Madhya Pradesh): A one-and-a-half-year-old male leopard died shortly after being rescued from a banana plantation in Lonsara village of Barwani forest range.
The incident occurred when local farmer Dinesh Chaudhary spotted the wild cat in his field and alerted forest officials. Responding promptly to the report, the forest department team arrived at the scene and launched a rescue operation. After an hour of careful effort, they successfully extracted the leopard from the plantation using nets around 7:30 pm.
However, the animal succumbed shortly after the rescue, despite immediate attention from the rescue team. Veterinary doctor Mahendra Baghel and his team conducted an initial examination of the deceased leopard.
The body was then transported to Barwani Forest Eco Centre for safekeeping until a post-mortem could be performed the following morning. The cause of the animal’s death remains unknown pending autopsy results.

Mandleshwar (Madhya Pradesh): The first meeting of the Climate Parliament Madhya Pradesh Network was held at Hotel Marriott, Indore on Saturday.
Maheshwar MLA Rajkumar Mev participated in the important discussion. The meeting discussed the effects of climate change, climate policy and the role of various stakeholders.
MLA Rajkumar Meo put forth his views in the meeting and assured all possible cooperation in fight against climate change. He said that climate change is a serious problem and everyone has to work together to deal with it.
Participants suggested various ways to reduce climate risks and pledged to work together. The meeting marks a significant step in shaping future climate policies and strengthening the fight against climate change.
