Lucknow, 27 November (HS). Yogi government has now decided to take an important step towards measuring the quality of education. The Yogi government is going to org.ze the Parakh National Survey 2024 on December 4 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Government of India and NCERT to understand the education system and prepare the basis for policy reforms in it. It includes 9,715 selected schools in Uttar Pradesh, which include government, aided private schools, madrassas and schools recognized by other boards. It is noteworthy that this survey will be conducted across the country to evaluate the quality of education and academic achievements of students.

Minister of State for Basic Education Sandeep Singh said that in this survey, the understanding and performance of students of classes 3, 6 and 9 of Uttar Pradesh in subjects like language, mathematics, science and social science will be assessed. This will not only help in evaluating the actual educational potential of the students but will also enable concrete steps to be taken towards improving the education system. This process will be ensured with complete transparency and confidentiality.

Students of this level will be evaluated

This survey will be conducted to assess the academic achievements of students at primary, upper primary and secondary levels. The survey will measure the achievements of students of classes 3, 6 and 9, which is to be conducted in the sampled schools.

These are the main points of the survey

For classes 3, 6 and 9, different subjects have been made the basis of evaluation. In these, language, mathematics and the world around us for class 3 and class 6 and language, mathematics, social science and science for class 9 have been made the main points of the survey.

Responsibilities have been determined

In relation to the national survey, the responsibilities of the district level coordinator, DIET principal and district school inspector have been determined. These include discharging all the responsibilities related to implementation and monitoring of the survey by the district level coordinator. Apart from this, the district level Assistant Coordinator/Master Trainer has been given the responsibility of conducting the training of Field Investigator (FI) within the stipulated time period. It is ensured that the survey work is done only by trained Field Investigator (FI).

The responsibilities of the investigator are certain.

The responsibilities of the field investigator are also fixed. After reaching the school before the assembly, they will meet the principals of the respective schools and start survey related activities as per the guidelines. They also have to ensure that the achievement test packet is sealed and the seal is not broken. They will do sampling as per the requirement of the section and students and will also be responsible for filling the control sheet.

Training of these districts will be done in Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Sultanpur, Moradabad and Etah Diet.

Pawan Sachan, Joint Director of SCERT Lucknow, said that there are no DIETs in Ghaziabad, Shamli, Amethi, Sambhal and Kasganj. For this reason, all the work related to the survey referred to these districts will be ensured by the Principal, District Education and Training Institute, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Sultanpur, Moradabad and Etah respectively.
