Prayagraj, 16 November (HS). Before Mahakumbh, the ghats of Prayagraj will be seen in their grand form. Yogi government is renovating the ghats of Kumbh city on the lines of Kashi, the city of Baba Vishwanath. Under this, seven ghats of river Ganga and Yamuna are being given a new look. The revitalization work is nearing completion. Through these works, the focus has been on providing convenience and beautification for tourists at the ghats so that they can spend their time here.

The ghats are being rejuvenated at a cost of more than Rs 11 crore.

The ghats of Ganga and Yamuna are the main center of activity for devotees and tourists coming to Maha Kumbh. At these ghats, devotees take a dip in the holy streams of Ganga and Yamuna. In such a situation, Yogi government is rejuvenating these ghats. These seven ghats of Ganga and Yamuna rivers are being given a new look by the Construction and Design Division of Jal Nigam. Project Manager Rohit Kumar Rana said that the ghats are being rejuvenated at a cost of Rs 11.01 crore. The project work is nearing completion.

These ghats were rejuvenated

The 7 ghats of river Ganga and Yamuna which are being rejuvenated include Baluaghat, Kalighat, Rasulabad Ghat, Chhatnag Ghat Jhunsi, Nageshwar Ghat Jhunsi, Mauj Giri Ghat and Old Arail Ghat. Among these ghats, 90 percent work of Maujgiri Ghat, 85 percent work of Nageshwar Ghat, 90 percent work of Chhatnag Ghat, 80 percent work of Rasulabad Ghat, 80 percent work of Balua Ghat, 93 percent work of Old Arail Ghat and 85 percent work of Kalighat has been completed. The work of beautification and expansion of facilities at all the ghats will be completed before 30th November.

Various facilities being provided at the ghats

The priority of the Kumbh Mela administration is to provide high-class facilities to the visiting devotees and tourists. In such a situation, the ghats are being modernized and beautified. At the same time, green belt is also being developed to make these ghats beautiful and clean. Arrangements for umbrella, high mast, drinking water etc. are being made at these ghats. RO has been installed for clean water while arrangements for mobile toilets and changing rooms have also been made. Similarly, benches are also being arranged for sitting.
