Yashaswini Dayama’s acting CV includes Dear Zindagi (2016), Adulting (2018), Phobia (2016), Zindaginama (2024) and Bandish Bandits (Season 2, 2024). The role which left a lasting memory of her in everyone’s mind was in Delhi Crime, where she plays Shefali Shah’s daughter, along with portraying Jackie, Alia Bhatt’s best friend in Dear Zindagi. She has also been part of a very interesting project, voicing Valeria Richards (daughter of Reed Richards- Mr Fantastic) in the Audible original Hindi podcast series Marvel’s Wastelanders: Doom.
Recently, she spoke to us about the time when she faced a double fan moment in London- her fans spotting her, while she couldn’t contain her excitement at spotting Kit Harrington (Jon Snow from Game Of Thrones).
“I was very fortunate enough that I was on a YouTube show that got really popular with young kids. So I know when there’s my target audience is around, they’ve clocked me, and are gathering the courage to come and talk to me. And I try to stick around enough long enough for them to be able to come and see me. But then I was recently in London and I was walking down the street and I randomly saw Kit Harington! So I started freaking out about how I’ve seen Kit Harington. And while I’m freaking out about that, these two men walk past me and then go like, ‘Hey, you’re in London!’. So, the fact that I’m being recognized as I myself am fangirling over Kit was quite a moment!” she told us.
Yashaswini’s upcoming projects include the highly anticipated Season 3 of Delhi Crime. She also happens to be the daughter of Ramakant Dayama, the well known actor who has been part of projects such as Chak De India (2007), Paa (2009), Made In Heaven (2019-) among others.
