IPL 2025: BCCI has postponed IPL 2025 for a week due to increasing tension between India and Pakistan. Now the IPL is going to start again. In this background, many foreign players have returned home. Some of these players have returned to India and are participating in their IPL teams. Meanwhile, a shocking news for BCCI has come out. There is speculation that South African cricketers selected for the World Test Championship Final against Australia may be removed from the IPL playoffs. Because the cricket board of the country has supported that playing for the country should be above the league.

The BCCI confirmed on Monday that the IPL would begin on May 17 and the final match would be played on 3 June. The revised program has created a dilemma for cricketers from Australia and South Africa, who have to play in the WTC final. The franchise and BCCI have requested foreign boards to make their players available for the remaining matches of the league. However, CSA has reiterated that preparations for the WTC final are their priority.

CSA’s national team and high performance director Aanoche Encway said at a press conference that it was his personal decision to see if he wants to play again in the league. We have made it clear one thing that we are talking to BCCI and IPL. But the program of preparing for WTC final will remain the same. The last date for Test players is 26 May. Our priority is the World Test final, in which there will be no change.

The main eight players are in different teams.

Eight South African cricketers Kagiso Rabada (Gujarat Titans), Lungi Angidi (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Triston Stabs (Delhi Capitals), Aden Markram (Lucknow Super Giants), Ryan Reclonton (Mumbai Indians) have been selected for the finals in London in June. The team consists of Corbin Bosch (Mumbai Indians), Marco Janssen (Punjab Kings) and Vian Mulder (Sunrisers Hyderabad). IPL 2025 is about to resume. Gujarat Titans, RCB, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants are in the race for IPL playoffs.
