Western Railway has announced a major block on the nights of January 24th/25th (Friday/Saturday) and January 25th/26th (Saturday/Sunday) for the reconstruction of a bridge between Mahim and Bandra stations.

Due to this block, 127 suburban services will be cancelled on the night of Friday/Saturday, and around 150 suburban services will be cancelled on the night of Saturday/Sunday. Additionally, around 60 suburban services will be partially cancelled.

The block will be implemented between Mahim and Bandra stations on the slow lines from 11:00 PM on Friday to 8:30 AM on Saturday. The down fast line will also remain blocked from 12:30 AM to 6:30 AM during this period.

Similarly, on the night of January 25th/26th, the block will commence from 11:00 PM on Saturday to 8:30 AM on Sunday on the UP and Down Slow and Down Fast lines. On the fast line, a block will commence at 11:00 PM on Saturday up to 7:30 AM on Sunday.

The last Churchgate-Virar slow local on Friday will depart at 11:58 PM. From 11:00 PM onwards, all slow locals departing from Churchgate will operate on the fast corridor between Mumbai Central and Santacruz, skipping stops at Mahalakshmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim, and Khar Road stations.

Similarly, slow trains departing from Virar, Bhayandar, and Borivali after 11:00 PM will run on the fast corridor between Santacruz and Mumbai Central, skipping the aforementioned stations. Additionally, some Western Railway local trains will operate between Goregaon and Bandra on the Harbour line.

On Saturday morning, slow and fast locals from Virar, Nalasopara, Vasai Road, Bhayandar, and Borivali will terminate at Andheri. The first fast local towards Churchgate after the block will depart from Virar at 5:47 AM on Saturday and will reach Churchgate at 7:05 AM.

The first down fast local from Churchgate will depart at 6:14 AM, and the first down slow local from Churchgate will depart at 8:03 AM after the block.

Apart from this, several long-distance trains will also be affected due to this block.
