World’s Tallest Statue Of Swami Vivekananda To Rise In City; CM Mohan Yadav To Perform Bhoomi Pujan | File

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore is poised to make history with the installation of the world’s tallest statue of Swami Vivekananda at Devi Ahilya Sarovar Udyan, Ramsar side, Sirpur.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), aims to bring the revered philosopher’s life and teachings closer to today’s youth.

The statue will be sculpted by renowned artist Naresh Kumawat, famed for his contributions to several iconic monuments across India. Alongside the statue, a dedicated gallery will depict Swami Vivekananda’s journey and philosophy through rare photographs, historical documents, and digital exhibits.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, along with Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment Gautam Tetwal, will perform the bhoomi pujan at the site on Sunday. The ceremony is expected to witness the presence of local leaders, dignitaries, and citizens, marking a proud moment for the city.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav highlighted the importance of the project, stating, “This statue will not only introduce Swami Vivekananda’s vision to today’s youth but also motivate them to follow his path. His ideals remain immensely relevant, and this memorial will give them a lasting presence.”

More than just a monument, this project is envisioned as a symbol of India’s cultural heritage and an educational and spiritual landmark. Once completed, it is expected to enhance Indore’s identity as a cultural hub and boost tourism in the region.

Material: Climate-resistant metal alloy for longevity

Global Significance: Will surpass the 35-foot statue in Udupi, Karnataka – becoming the tallest Swami Vivekananda statue in the world
