Lashkar-e-Taiba’s deputy chief Abdul Rehman Makki has died in Lahore, Pakistan. According to the information, he died due to a heart attack. Abdul Rehman Makki, the culprit of 26/11 Mumbai attack, is a relative of terrorist Hafiz Saeed. America has declared Makki a global terrorist. He was wanted in India.

 

Abdul Rehman Makki was overseeing the terrorist funding of Lashkar-e-Taiba. He was arrested by the Pakistani government in May 2019 and detained in Lahore. In 2020, Pakistan court had sentenced Makki in the terror funding case. Furthermore, the United Nations Security Council designated Makki a global terrorist under Article 1267 ISIL (Daesh) and Al Qaeda Prohibition Committee. Along with this, his property was also confiscated. His travel and weapons were also banned.

Abdul Rehman Makki was listed on January 16 for being associated with ISIL and Al Qaeda and engaging in activities such as terrorist financing, conspiracy, participation in conspiracy, recruitment by or with the support of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Makki was also the chief of Jamaad ud Dawa, the political wing of Lashkar. He has also been the head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Army.
