Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 50-year-old man, who was working at a tile showroom, died after a heavy marble piece he was carrying fell on him. The incident occurred on Saturday at a showroom near Pipliyahana Square under the Tilak Nagar police station area.
The incident was so tragic that he died on the spot after sustaining severe head and hand injuries. According to the police, the deceased was identified as Jeevan Singh Dodve, a native of Dewas district who was staying in Palda area.
He worked as a labourer in the showroom and was taking the marbles to the pick-up vehicle for transportation when a marble piece accidentally fell on him, leading to his death. His son Sikandar alleged that the showroom management tried to portray the incident as a road accident by telling the hospital administration that Jeevan sustained injuries in a road accident.
Body Found Floating In Drain
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Panic ensued after the decomposed body of a 50-year-old man was found floating in a drain near Badwali Chowki under Sadar Bazar police station limits on Sunday morning. Preliminary investigation suggested that the deceased might have gone to relieve himself and accidentally fell into the drain as it has a steep slope.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Aneesh, a native of Ujjain and was living near Kabristan. The police received information around 11 am that the body of a man was floating in the drain.
The body was severely decomposed so it is believed that the incident occurred around two days ago. He was addicted to liquor and might have fallen into the drain in an inebriated condition while going to relieve himself.
