Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The police have registered an FIR in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in Agaria River in Kalapipal under Itkhedi police station limits on November 5.

However, the identity of the woman is still to be established. As per reports, locals spotted a sack lying in Agaria River from which foul smell was emanating. Police reached the spot after receiving information and found a body of a woman stuffed inside.

The woman was aged around 35 to 40 years but police found no documents on the basis of which her identity could be ascertained. Police sent the body for post-mortem examination. Itkhedi police station incharge Durjan Singh Barkade said a case of murder was registered on Monday against unidentified people after receiving autopsy report. Efforts are underway to identify the woman following which further investigations will be carried out, Barkade added.

Five arrested for brandishing swords, issuing threats

TT Nagar police on Tuesday arrested five miscreants who have created a ruckus and damaged vehicles while demanding money from a person in Priyadarshani Nagar on Monday night.

Police team held their parade in the area before taking them to the police station and sending them to jail. It is worth mentioning that a video of the miscreants creating ruckus while brandishing swords had gone viral on social media on Monday. The video caused fear among the residents of Priyadarshani Nagar.

A resident of the same area Ratan Singh Thakur approached TT Nagar police station and lodged a complaint against miscreants. On Tuesday, police team carried out raids and arrested Jai Raut, Nitesh Jatav aka Gajni, Lucky Singh, Ritik Valmiki and Akash Gajbhiye.
