Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 26-year-old woman worker plummeted to death from the fifth floor of an under-construction building at the Indore Municipal Corporation’s headquarters premises. The incident occurred around 9 am on Saturday when the woman who along with her husband was mixing cement with sand accidently fell from the fifth floor of the building. She was rushed to the hospital where she succumbed to her head injuries.

MG Road police station in-charge Vijay Singh Sisodiya said that the deceased was identified as Anita alias Sunita, wife of Dinesh Sisodiya, a resident of Dewas district. Police have launched a probe into the case to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Her family members said that Anita had come to the city around 10-15 days ago with her husband for work. She is survived by her husband and two children.

“This is a tragic incident. The corporation is full of corruption, the work of building has been going on for the past 10 years. The building work was expected to be completed within 2 years but it is not completed yet. There are no safety rules and regulation mandates for contractors during construction work
