Barwani/Khetia (Madhya Pradesh): Barwani police claimed to have cracked a murder case with the arrest of four accused, including the victim’s wife.
As per information, complainant Sarika Kag, 33, lodged a complaint at the police station stating that three persons attacked her and her husband Mohan on Ashagram Bypass Road on November 30 when they were returning home after collecting money from someone his husband lent.
The three of them hit her and her husband with an iron rod from behind and made away with Rs 50,000 cash kept in his husband’s pocket. Sarika stated that when they were getting thrashed, a passerby called 108 and called an ambulance. They were taken to the district hospital, where the doctors pronounced her husband dead.
On the basis of her complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and launched an investigation into the matter. SP Jagdish Dawar constituted a special police team to solve the case and directed the Barwani police station in-charge Dinesh Singh Kushwaha to nab the accused as soon as possible.
However, events took a drastic turn when during the investigation police suspected Sarika of her husband’s murder as her statement had lots of contradictions. During a thorough investigation, she confessed to her crime.
She said that after her husband Mohan came to know about her extramarital affair with Naveen Barfa, she decided to devise a plan and murder him. As per their plan, Naveen along with his companions – Kapil Dodve (27) and Karan Nargesh (25) – executed the plan, resulting in Mohan’s death. Along with three men, police made Sarika accused of Mohan’s murder. Meanwhile, SP has announced a reward of Rs 10,000 to catch two absconding accused in the case.
