Woman Raped & Blackmailed By Husband’s Friend In Jabalpur; Extorted Of ₹15 lakh Jewelry, 3000 Sq Ft Land | Representational Image
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A woman was allegedly raped and extorted of land and jewellery by her husband’s friend in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old victim alleged that the accused, her husband’s friend, first established physical relationships with her in her husband’s absence and then started to blackmail her with an MMS.
Three of the accused’s accomplices were also indulged in the crime, the woman added.
The accused, identified as Narendra Shivhare, a resident of Maihar, has extorted silver and gold jewellery worth ₹15 lakhs and snatched a 3,000 sq ft land from the victim.

The victim informed the police that Narendra’s friends Ahfaz Ansari, Sahil Khan and Sabina Sikandar, hailing from Katni district, took her to a deserted area blindfolding her and raped her. They made videos of these acts and started threatening to make them viral. Scared, the woman lost her property worth lakhs.
According to the woman, her husband is in the transport business, due to which he remains mostly out. However, Narendra visited the victim’s house with her husband earlier. During this time, he befriended. Under the guise of friendship, Narendra forcefully made physical relations with her.
After some time, he started blackmailing and threatening the woman saying he would tell her husband about their relationship, if he doesn’t get the money.
Police launch search
The police have registered a case against four accused on the basis of the victim’s complaint.
Regarding the matter, Adhartal police station in-charge Rajkumar Khatik confirmed registering a case against all the accused under relevant sections of rape and blackmailing.
Police have launched a search for the four accused and have assured of arresting them soon.
