Almost all supermarkets have some sort of a loyalty rewards programs. It may seem that beyond a certain limit, these reward points may appear useless. But for a man who was cheating on his wife with his ex-girlfriend, the joint rewards account with his wife outed him. Read on to know how situation unraveled for the hubby.
An Australian private investigator who goes by the name Cass explained the funny story online.
So her client was a woman who suspected that her husband was cheating on her
“My client, the wife, wanted to find out how her husband was cheating. We were pretty sure he was up to something,” said Cass as quoted by New York Post.
The coupled lived in Australia’s Queensland. The husband suddenly began to take trips to New South Wales, an entirely different state. He claimed that he was visiting his family. The wife got suspicious as the husband did not visit his family this frequently before.
Cass suggested her client that she check their joint bank account. The woman found out that her husband had made some purchases from a grocery store named Coles and a hardware store Bunnings.
But these stores reportedly had several locations and it was not possible to find out based on joint bank account alone which stores exactly the husband had visited.
It was at this time that Cass suggested the woman to check if she had any joint rewards point account with her husband. It appeared that they had Flybuys account in which all transaction were recorded.
The woman found out that stores her husband made purchases from were located in suburban area of Queensland. That means, the woman’s husband was not in another state at all. He was just roaming in suburban area to meet his ex-girlfriend.
