Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 22-year-old woman was attacked with a liquor bottle by a person following an argument between them in Pitchers Pub in the Vijay Nagar area late on Wednesday. Three youths were arrested in connection with the same and the police are checking the CCTVs of the pub to identify their other aides.
The woman is undergoing treatment in a city hospital. Vijay Nagar police station in charge Chandrakant Patel informed Free Press that the incident took place in the pub around 11.30 pm. The woman named Bhawna, a resident of Pancham Ki Phel has lodged a complaint that she along with her friends had gone to the pub when the accused were arguing and fighting with another group of youths.
She got pushed by one of them when she told him to leave the place and not to fight with anyone. Then, the accused started an argument with her and later attacked her with a liquor bottle due to which she received injury on her head.
After the incident, the pub employees informed the police and took her to the hospital. Police said that her condition is stated to be out of danger. On her statements to the police, a case has been registered against Harshal alias Kanha, Mohammad Soyab and Arhan alias Shoeb under sections 109, 296 and 3 (5) of BNS.
The accused were arrested on Thursday and further investigation is on to know the security arrangements done by the pub owner. Also, the CCTVs of the pub are being examined.
