Satna (Madhya Pradesh): A group of people attacked a police constable at Jwala Devi in Chitrakoot on Wednesday night when he asked them to stop high-decibel DJ system. The police arrested five accused in connection with the incident.

When the DJ was going on, some residents of the area called up the police. A constable reached the spot and asked some people who were dancing to the tune of the high-decibel DJ music to stop.

Some of them were drunk and dancing at a function organised by a tenant in the house of Maheshwari Prajapati. Because the neighbours were unable to sleep, they informed the police.

Constable Amarendra Singh rushed to the spot and asked those people to stop the DJ, but, instead of stopping the music system, they beat up the constable.

Immediately after the incident, a contingent of police rushed to the spot and searched for the culprits in the house where women created a ruckus, asking the police to leave the place. The police arrested five people, including a woman, in connection with the incident. Those who were arrested were identified as Rajkaran Verma, Fullu Verma, Ramkaran Veram, Rajaram Verma and Sangeeta Devi Verma.
