Ahmedabad: After Donald Trump becomes the President of America, there is speculation about important posts in the government and indications of a trade war with China, this movement is expected to have a negative impact on the global financial market. Along with other markets of the world, a difference of 984 points was recorded in the Sensex in the Indian stock market today. There was a loss of Rs 7.78 lakh crore.

On the other hand of the adverse US reports, the Mumbai stock market was depressed due to other factors including reports of geopolitical tensions. In which small and midcap shares were washed away on a large scale today.

Due to heavy selling pressure, Sensex fell 984.23 points to a low of 77,690.95 and Nifty fell 324.40 points to a low of 23,559.05 at the end of trading today. Today, due to p.c selling in small and midcap stocks, a huge fall of 1651.69 points was recorded in BSE Small Cap Index and 1160.44 points in Mid Cap Index. There was a loss of Rs 7.78 lakh crore and ultimately Rs. 429.46 lakh crore. Today foreign investors have invested Rs. Rs 2,503 crore were sold, while local bodies sold Rs 2,503 crore. Purchases worth Rs 6145 crore were made.

In the last 5 sessions, foreign investors invested a total of Rs 5 crore. There has been a sale of Rs 16,126 crore. During this period, Sensex has fallen by 2,696 points.
