Over 250 Weapons Seized: IPS Agam Jain’s fight against illegal weapons in Chhatarpur (MP)

IPS Agam Jain is a 2016 Batch Officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre and is currently posted as Superintendent Of Police in Chhatarpur, MP. Known for his fearless temperament and often also referred as Singham officer, he is also a writer and has penned down books like Decode UPSC and Kabhi Gaon, Kabhi College. His mission for the district is to crackdown on illegal weapons and control the gun culture. Jain highlighted how firearms are misused and flaunted on social media to scare people. “The district has suffered some heinous crimes due to these weapons” he shared. To combat this, he launched a helpline number, even sharing his number with the public. This initiative proved to be a game changer as citizens became key informants “Many people continuously shared details with us, and we took swift action,”he shared. Under his leadership, more than 250 illegal weapons have been seized in the past one to two months and those involved have been arrested. With these efforts, Jain aims to create a safe, secure and fear free environment for the district citizens.
