VIDEO: Will Pune Really Face Scorching Temperatures Up To 55°C From May 29? IMD Responds To Viral Claims! |

While Pune is already experiencing very high temperatures, a message claiming that Pune will touch temperatures up to 55°C is doing the rounds on social media.

Now, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has clarified that it is just a rumour. A recent update from IMD Pune clarified that the viral message claiming temperatures in that range is false. Pune’s current and forecast temperatures are generally in the 38–40°C range.

SD Sanap, Senior Meteorologist, has informed that the message circulating on social media is fake.

At present, Pune is recording high temperatures. Lohegaon reported the highest temperature in the state on Monday at 42°C. This is because the areas that usually report the highest temperatures in the state, like Vidarbha, had rainfall and a decline in temperature.
