In Loni Kalbhor area of Pune, a husband who was an obstacle to an immoral relationship was murdered by his wife with the help of her lover, an official said on Wednesday.
The name of the murdered person is Ravindra Kashinath Kalbhor (age 45, resident of Raiwadi Road, Wadalevasti, Loni Kalbhor). Ravindra was killed by a strong blow to the head with a shovel handle at midnight while he was sleeping.
In this case, the Loni Kalbhor police cracked the crime in just three hours and arrested his wife, Shobha Ravindra Kalbhor (age 42), and her lover, Gorakh Trimbak Kalbhor (age 41, resident of Wadalevasti, Loni Kalbhor). This incident took place on Monday at around 2 am.
According to the information shared by Senior Police Inspector, Loni Kalbhor, Rajendra Panhale, in this case, the accused Gorakh and Shobha were having an immoral relationship.
Ravindra was aware of wife’s affair
Ravindra was aware of this, which led to frequent arguments between husband Ravindra and wife Shobha. Ravindra used to frequently beat Shobha after drinking alcohol.
Due to this, Gorakh was also angry with Ravindra. On Saturday (March 29), Shobha and Ravindra had another argument. At that time, Shobha took her children and went to her mother’s village. Shobha was also fed up with the constant harassment from Ravindra. Therefore, both her lover Gorakh and Shobha decided to kill Ravindra.
Ravindra and Gorakh lived in the same village, with only a hundred meters between their houses, while their farms were next to each other. Gorakh used to come and go to Ravindra’s house all the time. The two had also bought a four-wheeler together. Gorakh had given three and a half lakh rupees to Ravindra. Ravindra was addicted to alcohol, and Gorakh often used to serve him alcohol. That night too, Ravindra was alone at home on Monday as Shobha had gone to Theur. That day, he had consumed alcohol. Gorakh brought food for him, and after that, Ravindra slept outside the house around 11 pm. Around 2 am, Gorakh came to his house and hit Ravindra on the head with a shovel while he was sleeping. After that, Gorakh fled from the scene.
Ravindra Kalbhor was lying in pool of blood
On Tuesday morning, the police control room received information that Ravindra Kalbhor was lying unconscious in a pool of blood at Raiwadi Road, Wadalevasti. Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Panhale of Loni Kalbhor Police Station rushed to the scene. Ravindra was seen lying on a bed in front of his house in a pool of blood. He was admitted to the primary health center for treatment. However, the doctors declared him dead.
Accordingly, the police started an investigation. They received information that his wife, Shobha, and a villager, Gorakh, were having an immoral relationship. The police connected the links. On the day Ravindra was murdered, technical analysis revealed that Shobha and Gorakh had made calls at 9 pm and after 2 am. Accordingly, the police detained both of them. During interrogation, they confessed to the murder.
