Notably, Ramaswamy himself decided to part with DOGE.

Ramaswamy decided to step away from DOGE as he prepares to run for governor of Ohio. DOGE is designed with the aim of reducing government expenditure. With the departure of Ramaswamy, now Elon Musk will lead the department alone.

Ramaswamy announces his departure from DOGE

Ramaswamy posted on social media X, ‘I am proud to have contributed to the establishment of DOGE. I am confident that Elon Musk and his team will help in running the government smoothly. planning to contest elections

Viveda Ramaswamy is the owner of a biotech company. He is in the list of the richest people in the world. He also plans to run for President of the United States. He is a staunch supporter of Trump. He has indicated that he plans to run for governor of Ohio in 2026. If he wins, he will become the first Indian-American governor.

What is DOGE?

US President Donald Trump announced the creation of DOGE after winning the election in November, 2024. He handed over the leadership of this division to Tesla owners Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Later, the White House also praised Ramaswami’s role in the creation of DOGE. DOGE is a non-governmental task force. Which works on ways to lay off federal employees, cut programs, and reduce federal regulations. Musk’s involvement in DOGE raises ethical concerns. Because, his company SpaceX has a big defense contract. Apart from this it competes with NASA. Therefore their decision may be in the interest of their companies.
