It is being told that Suresh Kumar Kait has removed the Hanuman temple located at his official residence. The association has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter. According to the letter written to Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, there was a temple in the official residence of the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, which was very old. Many former judges – Sharad Arvind Bobde, A. M. Khanvilkar has performed puja here while being a judge. Later these three judges also went to the Supreme Court and retired from there.
“Insult to the followers of Sanatan Dharma”
The letter said that the employees working in the official residence of the Chief Justice also used to worship in this temple. Justice Rafat Alam and Justice Rafiq Ahmed, who came from Muslim religion, also lived in the same residence but they never tampered with the temple. This letter has been written after a complaint in which a lawyer had demanded action against Justice Kait from the President, Prime Minister, CJI and Union Law Minister of the country.
