Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejasvi Surya is reportedly all set to tie the knot with Sivasri Skandaprasad, a renowned classical singer based out of Chennai. While the two have not officially announced the wedding, reports claimed that the nuptials will take place in Bengaluru in a few months.
A report in The Federal stated that Tejasvi will get married to Sivasri on March 4, 2025, in a lavish ceremony in Bengaluru.
Who is Sivasri Skandaprasad?
Tejasvi’s bride-to-be, Sivasree, is a graduate in Bioengineering from Sastra University. She holds an MA degree in Bharatanatyam from Chennai University. Besides, she also has an MA degree in Sanskrit from Madras Sanskrit College.
Sivasri is a renowned Carnatic singer, and she has performed not just in Chennai but at major events across India as well. She shot to overnight fame and limelight after Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised a song recorded by her in 2014. She had sung the Kannada devotional song ‘Poojisalende Hoogala Thande’ and had shared it on her YouTube channel.
“This rendition by Sivasri Skandaprasad in Kannada beautifully highlights the spirit of devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram. Such efforts go a long way in preserving our rich cultural heritage,” PM Modi had said, praising the video.
She forayed into playback singing in the film industry after she sung the song, Helhe Neenu, in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1.

Tejasvi and Sivasri share their love for relay and endurance races, cycling and other sporting activities. In fact, in 2024, Tejasvi became the first sitting MP in the country to complete the Ironman 70.3 endurance race.
