Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s highly anticipated film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, hit the big screens on Eid, but it failed to live up to expectations. Fans were hoping for a dhamakedaar blockbuster with a gripping storyline, but the film fell short, receiving a lukewarm response from both critics and audiences. Unlike Salman’s previous films, Sikandar is struggling to make a strong impact at the box office, with its collections falling below expectations.

Amid the film’s underwhelming performance, fans have pointed fingers at Salman’s team, blaming them for the setback. Many have even demanded that he bring back his former manager, Reshma Shetty, who was instrumental in shaping his career during his peak years.

Why fans want Reshma Shetty to manage Salman Khan again?

Fans on social media believe that Reshma played a crucial role in shaping Salman’s career during his peak years until 2017. They point out that many of his films turned into blockbuster hits under her management.

While acknowledging that Salman must put in the hard work, they also said that the role of a manager is important in shaping an actor’s career, stating that the right guidance can make or break a star’s success.

Sharing a throwback photo of Salman and Reshma, a fan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Dear #SalmanKhan𓃵 please re-appoint Reshma Shetty to your manager post.”

Reacting to the post, another user wrote, “Totally agree on manager part. Reshma Shetty was his best manager(2009-2017) and that time was his best phase. He parted ways in 2017 and from 2018 his choice of movies aren’t good.”

“She was amazing. Jab vo thi to Salman ki movie bhot achhi aati thi. Aur berojgaro ko dur rakhti thi,” wrote another user.

“That’s where the problem began after she left,” another comment read.

Why did Salman fire Reshma in 2017?

According to media reports, Salman parted ways Reshma in 2017 due to creative and financial differences. While neither side publicly disclosed the exact reasons, industry insiders suggested that Salman was unhappy with how she handled his professional commitments.

Reshma, known for her sharp business acumen, played a crucial role in shaping Salman’s career, helping him secure brand deals, streamline his film choices, and build the Being Human foundation.

However, reports indicated that Salman felt she was prioritising commercial interests over personal relationships.

Reshma also managed other Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Karan Johar.
