Who is Nidhi Tiwari: Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Nidhi Tiwari has been appointed as private secretary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This information is given in an order from the Ministry of Telecommunications. Tiwari, an IFS officer of 2014 batch, is currently working as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The order issued on 29 March said that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Tiwari as a private secretary based on his experience of working in the PMO.
Who is Nidhi Tiwari?
Nidhi Tiwari secured 96th rank in the Civil Services Examination in 2013. He is a resident of Mahmurganj in Varanasi, who has been the Prime Minister’s Lok Sabha constituency since 2014. Nidhi Tiwari has been working as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office since 6 January 2023.
After working in PMO for more than three years,
He joined the PMO as Additional Secretary in 2022. During his previous term in the Ministry of External Affairs, Tiwari worked in the Department of Disarmament and International Security Affairs. Nidhi Tiwari has worked in the PMO for more than three years.
He also prepared for the exam along with the job.
Before passing the Civil Services Examination in 2013, she was working as Assistant Commissioner (Commerce Tax) in Varanasi and was preparing for the examination along with the job. Till now she was working as Deputy Secretary in the ‘Foreign and Security’ department in the Prime Minister’s Office and reported to National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
