Indian Forest Service 2024 Topper: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final result of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2024, and the national topper this year is Kanika Anabh, who has achieved All India Rank 1. The final result with a total of 143 candidates selected, individuals can check their results at upsc.gov.in.

Meet the Topper: Kanika Anabh

Kanika Anabh is from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. According to media reports, she did her schooling from JVM Shyamali School, a prominent school in the city. Her father, Abhay Kumar Sinha, is a retired Principal District Judge of Khunti, and her mother, Anita Sinha, is a housewife. Kanika attributes her success to her family.

In the UPSC Indian Forest Service exam 2024, Kanika Anbha bagged Rank 1 position, followed by Khandelwal Anand Anilkumar at Rank 2, and Anubhav Singh at Rank 3.

143 candidates have been shortlisted for the Indian Forest Service 2024. Of these, 40 are from the General category, 19 are from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 50 are from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 23 are from the Scheduled Castes (SC), and 11 are from the Scheduled Tribes (ST). The commission also announced that two existing vacancies under PwBD-1 category would be forwarded to the subsequent recruitment process because of the unavailability of appropriate candidates.

The government will publish the final list of appointments after confirming the eligibility of the candidates and ascertaining adherence to the terms set in the rules of examination.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) held the Indian Forest Service Examination 2024 between November 24 and December 1, 2024, at several exam centres. This was preceded by the Personality Test from April 21 to May 2, 2025.
